Out of warranty?
"Parmco has been supplying New Zealanders with quality appliances" I have to say I disagree! We bought a tumble dryer in 2011, after 14 months Parmco had to replace it because its was making heaps of noise. Now after 18 months again problems and the only reply you get is out of warranty... After asking about the Consumer Guaranty act Parmco only offered to (maybe) pay for the parts and after saying that I have to think about and I think the Consumer guaranty act goes further the " lady manager" just hing up the phone. 2 dryers having problems within 32
Months.

Consumers act tells me for dryers Economic life 7 yrs minimum and life expectancy 15 yrs minimum
Shame on you Parmco!

At Parmco we pride ourselves in providing quality products and service. Your dryer was initially replaced as we felt this was the most appropriate action to take at the time so you were not inconvenienced by waiting for parts to arrive for service. Upon inspection of your faulty dryer we had found that the bowl and drive belt had damage to it due to overloading. This is not a manufacturing fault. In knowing this we believe we responded appropriately to your current request for service and advised we would supply any parts free of charge as you are now 7 months out of warranty. This offer still stands.
Its unfortunate your phone call was disconnected to our customer services manager yesterday but this was not due to her purposely hanging up on you .
We ask you call us back so we can resolve your complaint.

Kind regards

Parmco

I have the exact same dryer. When we first got it I thought it was faulty as it took forever to dry. After a lot of wrangling with the retail store they sent someone out who said it was fine. Then the drive belt went at 13 months (no we hadn't been overloading it). I replaced this myself. Now another year down the track I think the heating element has gone. What a pile of junk.

I’ve had a parmco dryer for 6 years, my wife regularly overloads it, it’s been a lifesaver, cheap to run and seemingly bulletproof. I’ve been searching to buy another one and it seems it has been discontinued. Then I found you bunch of whinging .. no wonder.

I love parmco, I’d buy anything with parmco on it, and so would the pro kitchen guys I normally work with.

This is a genuine tradie recommendation which doesn’t happen often.
