Terrible customer service
I bought a DSLR Canon Camera in August last year and I noticed that there was something wrong with the exposure so I took it to Dick Smiht Albany more than 2 weeks ago. One of the ladies told me that it would take at least 2 weeks to get repaired. I told her that I work with that camera and if I could get something else in the meantime. She said "that is not the policy". I accepted that. They gave me a code and a ticket number that I would have to use for tracking purposes. After a week and a half, I decided to use the tracking number and the website showed me that it was accepted in the system, but only that, nothing else was done. Concerned, I rang Dick Smith Albany and a lady told me that I had to call Canon and ask them myself. I did that and Canon did not accept any of the tracking numbers that Dick Smith gave me. I called back to Dick Smith and another guy answered this time, telling me that number should work. I called Cannon again, they had the same answer until upset, I called for the third time to Dick Smith and I asked to speak with a manager. She told me that she was going to call Cannon because the number that Canon was asking me for, it was private. (Why do Dick Smith give a number that does not work and why do they have employees without the proper training giving false information to the customers???) The manager called me back, telling me that my camera will be ready in the next 5 days. After 5 days (today, february the 17th 2015) Early in the morning I rang again to Dick Smith Albany asking for my camera, a girl answered and told me that she will find out and she will call me back. I told her that I really needed my camera back, that it was very urgent. I waited till midday and I called her back again, she told me that she was very busy and she will do it before finishing work. She never did it. I am obviously furious. Apart from the terrible customer service that they gave me with false information and making me ring three times to them and Cannon now I have a lady that works in customer service and does not care for any customers life. I told her that it was very urgent and I did not get any message, any apologies, nothing. I am not going to buy anything from Dick Smith anymore but I really need my camera and I will make them responsible for any delays to my work.
