Wrong advice from salesman
On 11/12/14 I went to the Masterton store to buy a mobile phone advertised on special. The phone was not available on the Spark network so the salesman suggested I buy a 2degrees phone, I told hjm I did not want to change providers as I have been with Telecom/Spark for 12 years. He told me the phone was unlocked and I could change it to Spark which I did. The phone worked okay until I travelled out of town, first to Wellington, then to Hawkes bay and finally Castlepoint Beach. The phone would not work at all in any of these places so I went to Spark to find out why. They told me the phone would only work in Masterton because it was locked and there was no way I could undo it. I went back to the Warehouse and was offered a free 2degrees sim card. I DO NOT want to change phone provider so am left with a phone which is absolutely no use to me at all. I would like either a refund or replacement phone that is on the Spark network. If these sales people don't know what the true facts are they should be trained to know.
