WARRANTY
Dear Sir/Madam,

We purchased one king size bed and mattress along with other furniture from PK Furniture in Mount Wellington who have since moved to Sylvia Park.

Within the valid warranty period (still valid) we lodged several complaints about the mattress which we found to be of sub standard. What we found is that it has sunk-in in the shape of cradle on both the sides where my wife and I sleep on it. This has created a hump in the middle as well as on the outer sides and hence remarkable separation between us two.

With our personal confrontation with them at Sylvia Park, they send their representative to come at my place and inspect the mattress. Two people came and we made them sleep on the bed to get the feel of what we have been complaining about. Sure enough, they were satisfied that our claim was genuine. What they said was they would refer this to their head office for action. However, PKF phoned to tell us that they would send another person for second appraisal just to be sure. This obviously sounded crappy and stinky. Indeed, their second opinion was in their favour confirming nothing was wrong with the mattress and that our claim was null and void.

We have been left in limbo now but desperately in need for changing the bed & mattress. We are elderly, over 65 now and we do not want all this shit from PK. WE WANT THEM TO TAKE THIS UNIT BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and replace it with one of our choice.

Sorry for not providing any pictures as the camera is unable to capture the condition of the mattress.

I am hoping that you would be able to assist us in resolving this on-going issue with PKF.

Hi D Chandra , Sorry for the Inconvenience caused . The reason we send a professional to check your mattress the second time is because the we wanted to get a professional opinion and from the findings we were informed that there is nothing wrong . We normally prefer getting a technician from outside is so that we can take a fair decision based on their report.

Hello pk!

You are a pack of thugs.
My complain was genuine because you are selling sub-standard product. You failed to acknowledge there was a genuine problem although I believe you must have had several other similar complaints from other clients.
I got fed up with you guys and so I gave it to a needy for free. Initially I wanted to dump it on your door steps in an unusable condition but I gave another thought and gave it for charity and I am satisfied just doing that.

You might think why the response was so late, it was because there is another obstacle with the Complaints Authority. Had they made their web more accessible, more people would be able to use it and I nearly gave up but I am glad I have managed to convey my feelings and this message to you both the parties.
I would love to hear from Consumer Complaints but I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW 'PK'.
