Bought some batteries off Trademe. Item got promptly posted on Friday on overnight courier. I was expecting delivery on Monday morning at my residential address at ** Abiru Crescent, Favona, Manukau 2024. Some how it was delivered to someone else in Pukekohe with a completely different name. The person also signed for it.

I understand mistakes are made at times. But how can a parcel end up at a different street and suburb and get signed by a completely different person? There are no other streets in NZ called 'Abiru Crescent' or any other suburbs called 'Favona'. So this cannot be a mistake. It is beyond me how this can even happen. How can a person read ** Abiru Crescent, Favona, Manukau 2024 but then drive to a totally unrelated address and deliver a parcel to someone with a different name.

Finally on Tuesday afternoon, somehow they recovered the parcel and I got my parcel. This only happened after I had made 4 calls to customer service and finally talked to someone with authority.

I must say the last person I talked to was really helpful and most likely ensured I got my parcel that afternoon - thanks.

If someone who works as a courier is reading this, I'd like to know how my situation can even arise in the first place. It's like getting into a taxi and asking the driver to take me to Sky City Casino Auckland City but he instead takes me to Middle More Hospital in Otahuhu.
