I listed a bunch of jewellery at wholesale prices as a lot -- the buyer could sell the items individually and make money. The auction was past its reserve and there were tons of watches and bidders. But some halfwit at Trade Me decided to take it down.

Here's why...

I had the words "these would really fly during the holidays"...meaning these would sell well during the holidays. But the person took it down because somehow he/she interpreted what I wrote as the items would fly into the country in the holidays. So they thought I was selling something that I didn't have in possession.

It became impossible to get any bite after re-listing it 4 times. I guess the original buyers had moved on or become spooked. Ruined a good and valid auction and pissed the hell out of me. They could have contacted me first before taking the auction down. My compliant fell of deaf years and all they said was to keep re-listing -- which I have tried and failed many times.

Thanks Trade Me, I really hope you guys lose market share to some other site. Your days are numbered!
