Stayed at the blue water hotel Napier. On our first night we noticed we were quite itchy once we got into bed, the next morning didn’t think to much of it as we were out and about, once we returned back that night and got into bed the itching started again and we were up all night itching. We stripped off the bedding at 3am to try see if that helped. So pretty much paid 2 nights accommodation to itch all night.
On check out I let the front desk lady know that I wanted to make a complaint I also showed her the rash/bites on my hand and said we had been up all night, she advised that the owner would call me.
I then got a call from the owner who was very rude and not at all understanding of the situation, he told me that had checked the room and the bedding and there was no bugs. I told him well something in that room had made us itchy and I wasn’t happy to be paying for my stay. He continued to tell me that no one else had complained and he was sure the people staying in it that night wouldn’t have anything to complain about.
End of day we are the customers and we know what happened and that we were kept up all night by something in the bedding so expected abit more understanding and to be meet in the middle somewhere. It was a horrible end to our holiday and I don’t feel we should be paying for something like that nor would we make up a story like that.
