TV Shop Customer Service: using the credit card not under any permission
We purchased I-Walk treadmill especially for my exercise. I have multiple sclerosis, invisible pains. The symptoms I have are walking difficulty, fatigue including feeling sad and depressed. I try always to manage my conditions. Doing exercise with I-Walk is a part of my daily activities.
We purchased it in 2017 after my MS diagnosis. We pay weekly with credit card. We decide this year to be credit card debt free. Last week my husband and I also decided to pay off the remaining payments for the I-Walk, not by using the credit card anymore. He emailed TV Shop asking the bank account to transfer.
There was still no reply until I missed a call from TV Shop. I just called back and retold that my husband wanted to pay off the I-Walk. I insisted that we were going to pay by our debt card. I asked the lady to send the bank account by email. Again, my MS can make me lose my short memory.
The lady told me she could use the account we usually use. I asked her again to make sure it's not the credit card.
Tragically, the lady did not want to listen to me.
She said she just proceeded the payment successfully by using the account she read from our weekly payments. This was absolutely disappointing.
I checked our credit card account later, she won.
No, it was so disappointing that the poor customer service disturbed our family budget planning dream.
We are not a rich family and I especially, as a wife, always try to be consumers who are aware of what we need not what we want. My husband is the only source for our family. I do not have a job due to my illness. That's why we must be careful about money. I did feel very uncomfortable why the customer service lady did that to me.
We emailed TV Shop again but no responses. I want TV Shop to be responsible for how to treat the customers respectfully and fairly.

I have dealt with them in the past and yes, they are quite bad. Never again dealing with them.

Yes i can relate to this they used my credit card without my authority and took 150 dollars for dirty sheets what a joke and yes im still going through it with a company called receivables collection who the TV shop used to recover money.

I find they don’t really listen or try to help unless you want to buy something.Try to talk you out of returns even if you are only trialing.
