We've had so many feral cat issues where we leave so decided to do something about it few years ago. I Rang SPCA Mangere and they said to hire/buy a trap and trap the cats, then take them to the SPCA.

We did exactly that and ended up trapping 17 cats over a month. Each time we took the cats to them, they tried to get us to adopt the cat. Really? When we refused they say something like; "We don't like doing this you know" (referring to putting the cat down).

Recently a feral cat had kittens under my parents house. I rang the SPCA and they said they do not collect cats or kittens and to simply leave the cat and kittens where they are.

Now these 7 kittens will grow up and breed and add to the dozens of never ending feral cats around the area.

If anyone from SPCA is reading this, the best way to combat the feral cat issue is to catch them at any opportunity and reduce their numbers.

I used to donate $50 - $100 to them every year and done it for the past 13 years. No more. You guys have no intentions of getting rid of the actual problem.
