Complaint #: 378
Sick Of NZ Herald's Clickbait titles (here's one)
Article: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/woman-sues-doctor-for-being-born-wins-millions/AX24O4SWPGTEY65IYZQFHL64RE/

Title on herald's website:

"Woman sues doctor for being born, wins millions"

Reality:

Actual story is about women suing her doctor for neglect due to not advising her mother to take folic acid during pregnancy...resulting in the women being born with Spina Bifida.

The herald article is intentionally made to look like the women is suing the doctor just for being born (clear clickbait).

I've attached the homepage image - see for yourself. Even the homepage intro paragraph is made to mislead.

This is hardly the first time...it's just the one that got me pissed enough to lodge this complaint.

SHAME ON YOU NZ HERALD!

Here's another one for you mate. NZ Herald home page title:

'Racy and explicit': Kiwi doctor's YouTube videos banned by US school board

Makes it look like THE official U.S. school board banned her videos. Reality is her videos were banned by a school board in Alaska.

Here's the article: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/dr-mama-jones-invercargill-doctors-womens-health-youtube-videos-banned-in-us/IFH3K3NG7HNYFN7HL64ZJTAY6U/

That's 100% clickbait.
