We relied on photos displayed on Agoda.com to book this hotel/motel for 12 March 2023.
When we arrived a large For Sale sign blocked off frontage and on the front door was a notice that due to covid was contactless and a cell phone to ring.(02108644632)
When I spoke to the "manager " on that cell phone
I was told that their receptionist had covid 6 months ago and they had not replaced her.
We were told our room was around the back and a key left on the table.
Outside our room were empty alcohol spirit cans, the room stunk of stale smoke as did the pillow cases. There was no milk in the fridge and the vanety door was ripped off.
We made enquiries at a nearby business and were told the motel had been used for homeless people
We booked and stayed at another nice nearby motel who are fed up with this motel giving the town a bad name. I phoned the manager that we would not be staying, our compalints ands all she said was "sorry"
She is managing another motel and doing this one remotely
AVOID IT !!!
