I took my car to Dr Rust Ltd, Glenfield, Auckland to get the rust underneath my car repaired for a W.O.F. I was quoted over $400 for the repair which I thought expensive, but it was just before Christmas and I was running out of time. I discussed and left with the panelbeater the W.O.F. form with the clear and concise instructions of the repair that was required. After I picked up my car later that day, I went straight to the VTNZ station to get my car re-checked. After the inspector had re-checked my car, he asked me, as well as two of his colleagues and manager to look underneath my car. He told me that absolutely no rust repair had been done on my car!. He said the chalk mark that they had originally drawn around the rust area has still there untouched. He also said they double check females cars as so many people try to rip them off. I was recommended by them to stop my payment and take my car somewhere else to get fixed. To make matters worse my car wouldn't start! My work colleague had to help start it for me. When I picked up my car from the panelbeater half an hour earlier, he had told me that he had dismantled the battery. He had completely drained my battery! I've had my car for over two years and have had no trouble with my battery before. The next day again my car wouldn't start because of the battery. I had to organise a battery specialist and they said that the battery now needed replacing costing $160! I was recommended someone else to repair my rust and he did an excellent job for only $120. Nearly four times less and he actually did the job as agreed! I found Dr Rust Ltd in Glenfield to be dishonest and unprofessional and I would never recommend them.
